Barbary Coast

Away from me they pull you by the belt,Surrounding seven sailors at the docks; You say that we've seen something seldom feltAround these parts, they're winding up the clocks.

A pound goes in and two pennies come out;An ounce holds back the other ninety-eight,Who found themselves so cornered, filled with doubt.Announce it now and you'll be spared the hate.

Renounce the oath and let it all to lie;The bay conceals another den of rats. They'll bounce right by and finger out your eye,Then lay about and fiddle with their hats.

The end decides the way that we begin:Defend your back or lose the time within.
